To take advantage of the multitude of enhanced preferences for tribes within federal contracting, the Corporation created a limited liability company, NWB Technology, LLC (“NWB,” “Shoshone” or the “Company,” dba Shoshone Technology, Shoshone Construction, Shoshone Translation, Shoshone Energy, Shoshone Development, etc., depending on the specialization of the particular division.

The Northwestern Band of Shoshone Nation (the “Tribe”) created an Economic Development Corporation (the “Corporation”) that enabled the Tribe to pursue business opportunities separate from political influence and potential obstacles that sometimes hindered tribal business development.
