Northwestern Band of Shoshone Nation Economic Development Corporation and all of its inclusive subsidiary companies are wholly owned by the Northwestern Band of Shoshone Nation. Nevertheless, the Company follows the Harvard Project for Native American Economic Development, which separates the tribal politics from the economic and business entities. The board of trustees has lifetime tenure and cannot be removed by the Tribal Council. In addition, over 51% of the board of trustees are Shoshone Native Americans. NWB Economic Development Corporation and its companies, NWB Technology, LLC., dba Shoshone Technology, Shoshone Construction, Shoshone Translation, are the only economic entities sanctioned under the Shoshone Nation as Tribal Companies.
